Featuring Milky Haw-Haw

November14

I woke up early today because Mama warned me that there was a notice that the entire city would have a blackout until 6 pm. Knowing there is not much urgent stuffs to do, I didn’t react that much and just thought this would be a really boring day.

After eating breakfast, I went back to bed and slept again. At around eleven I woke up again and went to the mall to shop. Well at least it’s cold in there because they have a generator. :) Mama and I had our minor early Christmas shopping and this was effective to keep us from feeling bored. I just felt sad because I was not able to find new clothes that I really loved to buy. (Well, what’s new? I don’t buy clothes that do not sweep me off my feet!)

After eating lunch, we headed home and had to face the sweaty weather despite the fact that Christmas is just around the corner. Here at home, I am bored so I decided to make a draft for this post for my blog.

I realized I haven’t blogged about my new laptop yet. :) Last October 31, mama and I went to SM San Fernando in Pampanga to meet up with Kuya and Dulce and that’s where we bought Milky Haw-Haw.

I bought Dell Inspiron 1525 and upgraded the RAM into 2GB because its OS is Vista and I don’t want to bear with a slow laptop. (Click the image to enlarge) I hate waiting. Haha The features are not that great because I do not actually need one that is super duper fast or with mega amazing features. Kuya helped me decide on which unit to buy and he also did the negotiations at… I forgot the store. I’ll just look at the receipt when I’m not lazy anymore. LoL! (people in the said store already know Kuya because they are the store’s suki already, so we were given a great discount!)

Milky's Specs

Why did I name my laptop Mily Haw-Haw? It’s because it’s white. Yeah, corny! Haha At first, I just named it Milky. But Kuya told me that I should name it Haw-Haw instead, just like the milk candy that we usually eat when we were still kids. Haw-Haw is the rectangle milk candy in blue wrapper with a picture of a cow. I bet people of my age also know about that candy. To merge our “creative thoughts”, I decided to combine the names so that was where I got Milky Haw-Haw.

Milky and Judy

Milky is one of the fruits of my blogging journey that’s why I love her. Well thanks to Eze for lending me his old laptop when I was still poor to buy my own. Haha

And thanks to Kuya, Dulce and Mama for the company when we bought Milky. :)

Hi Mitch, thanks for dropping by. :)

I’m not in Manila but I visit the city every once in a while. I bought Milky in SM Pampanga for 36k. (we just got a good discount because my Kuya is a regular customer of the shop where we bought my lafitafi)

36k already includes an upgrade of another 1GB RAM and a licensed OS.

Hope you could buy one too (with the color of your choice). I really want yellow or orange. However in the store where we bought it, there were only three available colors: black, white and purple.. Cheers! :)

    Hi Judy,

I just went to the mall yesterday after work and ask about the dell1525. Actually my cousin is working in electroworld and show me the specs and said they could order it to electroworld manila if I am really interested. It cost 36k but my cousin told me that whats difficult in dell laptop is that their service center is in Manila and since I am in Cagayan de Oro. Everytime I will encounter a problem in my dell laptop, they have to send it to Manila which is time consuming…Really sad about it!

Is that so? Onga, I saw your site and found out you’re from CDO. Sad naman yun. :( Try looking for other brands. Kaso mas stylish kasi pag Dell. hehe Pero specs and quality wise, Acer and Toshiba are good brands to consider.
