I really am very disappointed with myself for not being able to write here last night. I just didn’t have anything to write about because my day was really boring. And now, I will again publish something not worth reading. What can I do? I just stayed at home the whole day writing for other blogs. I’m just so tired that my eyes would want to close. I still have four more articles to write and I’m not sure if I can still finish those. I really hope something exciting would happen for you guys to have something worth reading.
BTW, I woke up around eight this morning to watch Ms. Universe 2008. Unfortunately, I am a bit dissatisfied with the competition. Not because Ms. Philippines was not able to make it even at least to the Top 15 but because I feel like it was the shortest and least exciting pageant I’ve ever seen.
First, it was the first Ms. Universe competition that only gave away two awards (Best in National Costume and Ms. Congeniality).
Secondly, since there are no other special awards given, Ms. Philippines was not able to bring home anything for the country.
Third, the national costume of Ms. Philippines is oh so pink! I don’t know where she got that but it really captured all my attention, so I got distracted.
And lastly I knew who will be the winners in the first 30 minutes of the competition. I think it was the most predictable pageant on Earth!
I would just like to commend Ms. Universe 2007 for breaking the rules. She was the first title holder to make her final walk in a tuxedo. I think that was really cool! I also would like to mention my favorites. I like the beauty of Ms. Colombia because her face is very pleasant and she was able to carry herself well in the Long Gown competition. I think if that gown was assigned to another candidate, it would look like a rug on a beautiful body. Sorry to whoever designed it. However, I was not amazed with her answer in the Q&A. (just a plus that she answered in English)
Well, Ms. Kosovo is an Angelina Jolie lookalike. Too bad she didn’t make it to the final 5. Ms. Mexico has got the best curves. Very sexy and nice gown too! Her answer in the Q&A just did not leave any mark to me. Can’t remember the question and how she answered. Well, I was just glad that Ms. Venezuela made it. She’s beautiful and looks very smart. I liked her answer. Take note: she also answered in English! And I like her long gown. It’s yellow, my favorite! hahaha
Also, thanks to Ms. USA for spicing the competition up a bit when she slipped on stage. Honestly, I felt worried because there seems to be a candidate who wants to make a different show every year and this year turned out to be USA’s turn again. Don’t think I’m bad. I just want to mention it. I’m not against Ms. Beyonce Look-alike.
So again, the Latinas dominated the pageant this year. Well, even though Jennifer Barrientos was not able to bring home the bacon, I still think Filipinos should be proud of her. Although I was not able to watch the Bb. Pilipinas competition, I think she’s smart! A lot smarter than Janina San Miguel. I just hope Janina won’t mess up on Ms. World on October. Hahaha
