An Update with a Boring Post

January22

After several weeks of not updating this blog, I finally decided to make a new post for my readers. (haha, feel-er!)

There’s not much to blog about today except that I was really busy with work and for the preparations.. Hmmm.. Nineteen days to go and finally I’ll be Mrs. Cariaso. ;)

So how do I feel right now?

Nothing, because I don’t know. haha

I feel excited that finally, I’m gonna change my surname. (Why? SECRET!)

I feel nervous because I know married life is linked to a lot of responsibilities that are really tough to handle.

And happy of course, because finally.. after more than seven years, Eze and I are getting into the next level of our relationship. I know it would be hard to handle things but I really hope we can handle everything we meet along the way.

Hmmm.. I ran out of words again.. I dunno what made me like this. Lolz.. Just for the record: I do not have butterflies in my stomach YET! haha So please, don’t tease me. Right now I’m still busy with work and thanks for that because I feel less nervous, less excited and less paranoid. Hahaha

Hope to update this blog again soon..

Gotta go to bed now and take some beauty rest. hahaha

Just Got Curious about Acai Berry

January7

Well, as you can see, it’s been more than a month since I last updated this blog of mine. I admit it was really a tough December last year.. tough but in a really good way! There are so many things I needed to blog about but they seem to be obsolete now so I no longer have the drive to put them into writing. All I know now is that this month and the following months are going to be a lot busier in a much better way.

To all those who are wondering, the answer is YES! Ezhie and I are getting married next month, on the 10th to be exact. And with this announcement are so many things like my weightloss journey for me to look great on my wedding day. Even though it would just be a civil wedding, every bride would surely want to look great on that white dress.

Whenever I feel fat, my cousins try to play a joke on me to try acai berry to lose weight because they say it is effective, safe and reliable.. but well, I know my condition isn’t serious. After all, these are all jokes.

But with these jokes, I got curious and made a little research about the product, the so-called amazing fruit and got astonished by how it gives hope to women who want to lose weight. Acai berry is not just something for trimming your shape but also a healthy fruit for everyone. If I were to list all the benefits of acai, you will surely buy a bottle of supplement for you. If you have heard about antioxidants and the health benefits they can give, well an acai diet offers a lot more!

Watching the MLTR Concert

November22

Last month, Kuya invited me to join them (Dulce and him) to watch Rihanna and Chris Brown’s concert last November 16 in Taguig. Being a not-so-fanatic, I hesitated to join them because I don’t feel like spending 3.000 bucks to watch a concert of someone I don’t really love (I just like them). Kuya even asked me to look for someone to join me so I won’t feel out of place in case I decided to join them.

So after a brief conversation, I checked my contacts list in Yahoo Messenger and looked for someone online who could join me watch the concert. Then I found Cathy, my college dorm mate who’s of course, so dear to me :), and so I asked her.

Then, she said she’s not sure and the other 239ers (the term we use to address our group because our dorm room way back in college is 239) are considering to watch the Michael Learns to Rock (MLTR) concert scheduled on the 22nd of November, just a week after Rihanna and Chris Brown’s concert.

Being a total fanatic of MLTR since elementary days, I made up my mind that I wouldn’t let myself miss this very rare opportunity to hear my favourite songs, LIVE! I still considered watching Rihanna and Chris Brown’s concert but then I decided not to.

So the night came and I had one of the most fascinating nights of my life!

The Three Fanatics

Tere, Di and I were the only ones who decided to watch the concert because the others have their reasons.. Well, I understand them. I just know that the night would be even better with them.

We left UP around 7:30 pm. We had a hard time getting a cab but good thing we still made it on time. We arrived at Araneta in Cubao, a few minutes plus minus 8 pm, bought EyeMax for a better and closer view of the band, found our seats and waited.

Araneta

EyeMax!

While waiting, the three of us could no longer hide the excitement and joy that at last, we will hear our favourite band (our guilty pleasure, as Tere used to call it) sing our fave songs!!!! Waiting still, we were attracted to buy the fluffiest cotton candy we’ve ever seen so we bought one for the three of us.

yummy?!?! hmmmm..

We ate and enjoyed the cotton candy for a few minutes until we realized that it was no longer making us happy. It slowly turned into a torture! Geez, the sweet taste of the sugar and seeing the size of it.. Gosh! Urk!

urk!..URK!

Then I saw one kid asked her mom or guardian maybe, to buy her one.. and I said to myself, “Huh, akala mo kaya mo ubusin yan! Akala mo ha!” (You think you can finish that? Huh!) Hahaha

We waited for few more minutes, we still tried to eat but gave up.. (The three of us were not able to finish the cotton candy so we brought it home for our loving roommies. :-P)

At 8:30 pm, they turned off the lights and the concert began! A band went out from the backstage and started performing. At first, we didn’t recognize that it was already them performing on stage since they started the night with a new song and the vocalist Jascha Richter, had his hair colored with something darker. (He had his hair white like an alien, years back)

The following songs were all great and the crowd was really great! Until now, I can still feel the joy of hearing their songs specifically my faves: Complicated Heart, Love will Never Lie, Out of the Blue, The Actor and Wild Women (that made us wild LoLz)

The crowd reached their height of enjoyment when the band sang 25 Minutes. Geez, Jascha even went down the stage, walked down the aisle and had some pictures taken with a very few lucky women! I just wish I was one of them! They also sang a new song that I liked. It’s called Sweetest Surprise and another one that I wasn’t able to note the title. (According to Jascha they just found the song in the internet)

Around 10 pm, they said thanks and goodbyes and left the stage. But the crowd didn’t stop asking them to go back the stage and perform some more songs. The three of us were really crazy then because we feel like we want more of them.. We really wanted MORE!

So after about a minute, they went back the stage, performed a lot more songs and ended with That’s Why You Go Away with a big bang (thanks to the Lead Guitarist :)) Before the song ended, Jascha again went down the stage and still, we weren’t there to have a picture of him because we were sitting at the Upperbox A.

The night was really great. For two hours, MLTR owned the stage! I just can’t write everything in detail. I just know how happy I am that I was able to spend and enjoy the night with my fellow MLTR addicts, Di and Tere. Just CLICK HERE FOR MORE PICTURES.

I wish I could watch some more concerts in the future like The Corrs, Air Supply, Fra Lippo Lippi, David Cook and our local artist Gary V.

Once again, I just wanna say.. I really had a great night! :)

Visiting Cavite after Seven Months

November21

Last Friday, I went to Manila to return my passport to IPAMS after borrowing it for a few days. Then I headed to Cavite to claim my TIN ID. (I know how hard it is to get one so I’m really glad that mine was processed before I resigned in my first job.)

Sadly, I was unable to reach the zone at my target time for different reasons:

  1. I left home later than expected because I wasn’t able to sleep well on Thursday night.
  2. I had to prioritize going to IPAMS. (plus traffic and LRT delays)
  3. I had to drop by SM Bacoor to buy “pasalubong” because I no longer have coins to use for my fare. The Manong would surely scold me if I hand him a 1,000 peso bill for my 20-peso fare.
  4. I forgot about the traffic ‘cause it’s a Friday.

So unfortunately, I was not able to catch those who leave the office at 5 pm. I was not able to see Ate Lhea and all the other inspectors. Sad.. :( Well at least, I reached the company gate five minutes before 6. (An almost buzzer beater) But the lady guard does not know me (because she was just recently assigned in LSP and I haven’t visited the company since mid-April) so she refused to allow me to enter the admin office since the person I’m looking for is on a meeting. Good thing, Kuya Guard (sorry, I dunno his name, I just know he’s the SO) still recognize me and allowed me to enter the office and bring my pasalubong.

I was so happy to see my former officemates and how they smiled upon seeing me (and my pasalubong, LOLz!) The bell rang and it’s time to go home, but some of them stayed and I had a little chat with them. A part of me felt sad because if only I didn’t decide to leave, I still have those people around me.

Then, after all the Ha-Ha-Has where I became a clown for about 30 minutes, we decided to leave the office and go to Cedz as planned. Cedz is an eat-all-you-can restaurant in Cavite that we love! I was really happy, delighted… hmm, I can’t think of a deeper word for how I felt, sorry I’m weak at adjectives.. All I know is that I love to see us all gather and eat, something that we all love to do.

Click here for a few of the pictures we took in the place in a few days. (These are just the ones I took using my phone. Please bear with the resolution. I haven’t requested for a copy from the others who also took pictures during our dinner. )

Geez, that was really a great night! With all the food and the people so dear to me laughing and sharing stories.. I know I made the right decision when I went back to the place where I used to work and live. I dunno if it’s gonna be the last time I’d be in Cavite. But one thing’s for sure.. that was one of the best nights I had in the said place.
