Yesterday, I signed up for Technorati to claim my blog. To complete the process, I need to verify the ownership of this blog by either of the two ways: 1.) by just providing the password of the site and 2.) by publishing a new blogpost having the main text provided by Technorati. Being so0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0o forgetful (let me stress that), I cannot recall my passwords so I just keep my password manager alive to recall them here in my PC.
And yesterday, I forgot my password for judysungit!
Note: It was weird that I can’t recall my password because it’ MUST be so easy to remember for me!
Then, the stupid side of me was awakened.. I just forgot that I can log-in (with the password manager), go to users and edit my settings to change the password OR check my tools in my browser to know the password. So then I had my password reset for me. A link to reset the password must be sent to my email so all things SHOULD get back to normal. However again, the link sent to me never worked! I had my password reset for five times, received the same links for all tries and not at least one worked.
So I got desperate.. Who do you gonna call? Of course, kuya! Unfortunately, he had to attend to some important matters so he can’t help me at that time. So I had a livechat with my hosting provider and was informed that I should talk to their support department. I emailed support but they was not able to understand what I meant and still nothing happened! I tried browsing wordpress but since I bought this domain, they can’t help me either! I thought I’m gonna completely lose my judysungit!
Then, here comes Kuya! Yipee!!! Logged into my database, do some thingy I don’t understand and all I had to do is start from scratch, install my wordpress, re-publish my posts and select the theme.. Unfortunately I forgot to keep a copy of my About Me Page so I have to figure out the right words first before coming up with another snobbish About Me. Hahaha
So there goes my most unforgettable, scariest and sweatiest blogging experience I ever had! Now, lesson learned! Don’t reset your passwords and don’t forget them!
